About

About me

Devansh Bajaj portrait

I'm in the IB Diploma Programme at The British School, New Delhi. I started AerBoost, a nasal strip for athletes, and designed a CubeSat antenna deployment system for the Conrad Challenge.

When I'm not building something I'm usually playing sport. I play baseball for the Delhi State Team, captain the school basketball team, and run STEM workshops for kids in Delhi.

Experience

Work, research and leadership

Summer 2025 to present

Metrology & Precision Engineering Intern

Mitutoyo South Asia Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi
  • Learned the basics of dimensional metrology and hardness testing, and the international measurement standards that manufacturers use for quality control.
  • Measured real components from different industries with micrometres, vernier callipers and indicators.
  • Worked out tolerances, least counts and instrument resolutions to check whether parts were dimensionally accurate.
May 2026

Intern

Radiant Manufacturing, Noida
  • Worked on a customer complaint about a drain fitted the wrong way round in a cover meter sub-assembly, using the 8D method.
  • Helped with a 6M fishbone analysis, which traced the fault to a fixture that could be set up either way round with nothing to control orientation.
  • Recommended poka-yoke changes to the fixture to stop the defect recurring.
Oct 2025

Collaborative Researcher / Observership

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay
  • An ongoing research collaboration with faculty, where I help with project development and technical analysis.
  • Wrote and tested G-code for a student-built additive manufacturing machine.
Jun to Jul 2024

Intern, Project & Construction Management

KIOOB, Greece (Antiparos Island)
  • Shadowed the lead civil engineer on several turn-key construction projects and went along to site visits and planning meetings.
  • Took part in discussions about the limited water supply and how to get materials to remote island sites.
  • Saw 3D scanners, drone-based 3D mapping and project management software used on live projects.
Jul to Sep 2023

Machine Learning Internship

Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
  • Used machine learning in a research setting, mostly for data modelling and analysis.
  • Built an algorithm that lets a fridge tell ripe, unripe and spoiled food apart.
2025 to present

Founder & Co-President, Astronomy Club

The British School
  • Co-founded the club. I plan the weekly meetings and the observation sessions.
